Our High Tunnel Hoop House Benders are available in 3 different models. The DY series, C series and PF Series. The difference in these benders is predominately the amount of usable bending surface available.
The DY Series Hoop House Bender will bend 10 ft, 12 ft, and 20 ft wide hoops, depending on the size purchased, and has 24 inches of usable bending surface. The DY will require approximately 6 or 7 bending strokes (motions) to achieve the desired hoop width using one 10' 6" length of tubing.
The C Series Hoop House Bender will bend 10 ft, 12 ft, 20 ft and 24 ft wide hoops, also depending on the size purchased and has 48 inches of bending surface thereby requiring 3 or 4 bending strokes to achieve the desired hoop width using one 10' 6" lenght of tubing. These benders are popular to those building more than a few hoops.
The PF Series Hoop House Bender will also bend 10 ft, 12 ft, 20 ft and 24 ft wide hoops, depending on the size purchased and has 72 inches of bending surface thereby requiring 1 long and 2 short bending strokes to achieve the desired hoop width. These benders are larger and are popular with individuals that don't want a workout building mutiple hoops for multiple hoop houses.
While it is quite easy to bend steel tubing on any of these benders, it is physical exertion none the less. If you are planning on bending several dozen hoops on a regular basis the "C" series bender will considerably reduce user fatigue in the bending process. The "PF" series reduces it even more and is designed for one that is planning on building hundreds of greenhouse hoops for their own nursery or perhaps to build greenhouse kits for resale. The more bending surface the better.
